Jazz guitarist Bob Russell’s talent and versatility is no secret to music lovers in southeastern North Carolina. In a special evening, the Emmy Award-winning Russell performs with a newer member of the Department of Music faculty: Michael D’Angelo. D’Angelo is a Grammy-nominated recording artist who first performed in Wilmington as an outstanding student jazz musician during UNCW’s Summer Jazz Workshop and went on to join the faculty in 2012. This intimate evening of jazz is part of UNCW’s Alumni Weekend and benefits scholarships for students in the Department of Music, and is not to be missed.
