Dedicated to the heroes of Hurricanes Florence and Michael, the Wilmington Symphonic Winds proudly presents WITH COURAGE. The concert will include repertoire that highlights the courageous spirit of the composers and the subject matter that inspired their work.

Join us as we honor our troops with performances of American Salute and a brand-new march entitled A Century of Service – a work that celebrates the 100th anniversary of women serving in the United States Marine Corps. The program will also include an emotional composition written for and dedicated to the students and families of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The concert will also feature lively pieces by celebrated composers Leonard Bernstein and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Finally, this concert will include the long-awaited world premiere of Mark Camphouse’s composition, Gehrig, written for the Wilmington Symphonic Winds. Camphouse will serve as guest conductor for the premiere performance of this work that pays homage to Lou Gehrig and his courageous battle with ALS. WITH COURAGE is a performance you won’t want to miss!
