Exploring Opera: Bizet's Carmen
Join us for a two-day celebration of Carmen and her legacy in Europe and America. Exploring Opera is a perfect way to prepare for Opera Wilmington’s Summer 2017 production of Carmen.

Exploring Opera concludes with a Saturday evening scenes program of "The Gypsy Life" by UNCW Opera Outreach Project, featuring Opera Wilmington's Maria Beery, Chelsea Keane Holmes and Nathan Strock. We guarantee you’ll leave with a fresh perspective, even more enthralled by opera’s favorite gypsy!  

Bartenders from three prominent downtown restaurants will compete in a Sangria Sampler at intermission. Patrons will vote for their favorite, and the winner will be served at an Opera Wilmington performance of Carmen this summer!

$30 general public / free to students with valid UNCW ID. 
Tickets for all events at the symposium, including The Gypsy Life and reception can be purchased the Opera Wilmington website

Remaining tickets for The Gypsy Life will be sold at the Cultural Arts Building Box Office starting at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.
